Most mornings do not leave room for a complicated lunch. This is the one we packed today: a pressed egg, corn and cheese sandwich, kiwi, Rainier cherries and a MadeGood apple crumble oat cup, all packed into our Nom° Quad stainless steel bento box. It took ten minutes, used one appliance, and it is genuinely healthy, not just healthy-sounding.
What's in This Kids Lunch Box Today
• Pressed egg, corn and cheese sandwich
• Kiwi, sliced
• Rainier cherries, halved and pitted
• MadeGood organic apple crumble baked oat cup

How to Make the Pressed Sandwich (Ready in 10 Minutes)
1. Crack one egg directly into a sandwich press or panini machine and let it cook for about a minute.
2. Add a spoonful of corn kernels and a slice of cheese on top of the egg.
3. Close the press on two slices of bread and cook until golden, about 3 to 4 minutes.
4. Let it cool slightly, then cut into halves or quarters before packing.
The result is a compact, mess-free sandwich that holds its shape well in a lunch box and is easy for smaller hands to eat without falling apart.

The Science Behind This Lunch, Explained Simply
A few real, easy-to-understand facts behind why this combination works for a school lunch:
• Pressing and toasting the bread makes its surface less porous, so it resists moisture better than plain, untoasted bread. That means less sogginess by lunchtime, and the sealed edges keep the egg and cheese from leaking out.
• Egg is one of the richest natural sources of choline, a nutrient linked to memory and attention.
• Kiwi contains more vitamin C, gram for gram, than an orange.
• Rainier cherries are naturally sweet and rich in antioxidants.
• The MadeGood oat cup is made with real oats and real apple, with 3 grams of fiber per serving. It is a treat, so it still contains added sugar, but it is a more thoughtfully built option than a typical bakery muffin.
Why We Pack It in a Stainless Steel Bento Box
A good lunch does not stay good if the container fails it. Our stainless steel lunch box is built around three things parents consistently ask for: no leaks, real portion control, and enough separation to give kids different types of food without everything touching. The nom Quad's four compartments mean we can pack a full-size sandwich, fruit, and a treat side by side, and each one stays exactly where we put it.
The food-contact surfaces are stainless steel and silicone only. Nothing complicated is touching your kid's food. That is the whole idea behind Nom°: the right material, in the right place.
